around & about

For well known reasons important work (or guilty conscience) keeps me in reach of my desk… Nevertheless I escaped for a couple of days -
by now I’m a pro in tricking myself out of annoying responsibilities ;-)

I visited my sister in Kiel (city at the Baltic Sea, capital of Schleswig-Holstein (most northern federal state)).

I didn’t do much but shopping, enjoying the sun at the beach (yes, summer came back) and eating :-) perfect holiday. And I red a hilarious book that hadn’t ANYTHING to do with my thesis (that’s how you recognize the real book addict – to divert myself from all the reading I did some reading…

That suits me perfectly!

Yesterday I was among the 356 people who saw the very first show in Hanover.

(If you ask me they could have been a bit more creative with the event! Would have been much cooler to watch the film in cinema 9¾ instead of the ordinary 2…)

My hair is short short...

Now I’m in the phase of getting used to it ;-)

But I have to say…

It’s so much better than the long version!!!

Let’s talk about HAIR…

You get a haircut.

It’s new and unfamiliar.

You get used to it.

You like it.

You live with it
through good and bad times.

It grows.

You still like it, it’s longer…
but still fine.

Then you start wondering:
“is it too long?”.

And then comes the day
when it definitively is too long!

You need to make an appointment
with your hairdresser.

Today the point of no return was reached.
I made the emergency call.

The appointment is tomorrow :-)
